Power Ranking – 2016 Week 9

NFC Insider – Power Rankings Week – 9

#1 Sarnia Imperials (6-1)
There is a new kid at the top of the mountain this week. The Imps marched into Brampton and came out with a hard fought overtime victory over the reigning National Champs… Congrats!!
Week 8
WIN 34-28 over GTA (OT)

#2 GTA All Stars (4-2)
The defending National Champs are knocked off at home by Sarnia. This game came down to the wire. This is the second loss of the season for the All Stars who once boasted about running the table. A little more parity in the NFC this season. Don’t count this team out – they have the talent and experience to repeat.
Week 8
LOSS 34-28 to Sarnia (OT)

#3 Ottawa Invaders (6-1)
It’s not often you win in a blowout fashion and drop in the rankings. But Sarnia and GTA went toe to toe like heavyweights in a championship fight. This ranking is not a knock on Ottawa – a top ranked team.
At this point in the season – they are still very much in the hunt. If they want to move up – beat GTA next week.
Week 8
WIN 57-0 over Oakville

#4 Steel City Patriots (4-3)
The Patriots travelled with a short bench to the Sault and scraped out a victory. A win is a win – you got it and you hold the #4 spot for another week. Good work boys!
Week 8
WIN 28-21 over Sault

#5 Tri City Outlaws (3-4)
You avenged the week 1 loss and got it done at home. Nice work!
This week the Outlaws will face Hamilton and what could be a first round quarter final matchup. Win in Hamilton and you secure a home game first round of the playoffs.
Week 8
WIN 28-24 over Sudbury

#6 Sudbury Spartans (2-4)
Another tough road loss and you went 0-4 on the road this season. Back to the warm confines of James Jerome this week against archival the Sault.
Week 8
LOSS 28-25 to Tri City

#7 Sault Steelers (1-5)
The Steelers lost a back and forth tilt against the Patriots. This week they travel up the road to Sudbury to battle the Spartans. This week could see them rise higher in the standings.
Week 8
LOSS 28-21 to Hamilton

#8 Oakville Longhorns (1-6)
The wheels fell off the bus in Oakville this week as the Invaders rolled overtop of them. Been a tough season with 3 sets of back to back games. Keep moving forward boys!!
Week 8
LOSS 57-0 to Ottawa

Power Ranking – 2016 Week 8

Rankings #5 and #6 will be decided when they play each other this week.

– NFC Insider

Week 8 Power Rankings:

#1 GTA All Stars
The defending National Champs stay on top. They are resting again at home before the final stretch to playoffs.
Week 7
BYE

#2 Ottawa Invaders
The Invaders were also resting this week and will remain in this slot until somebody else steps up and knocks them down.
Week 7
BYE

#3 Sarnia Imperials
The Imps took down the Patriots in the battle for this ranking. Now they get to face their old nemesis GTA this weekend.
Week 7
WIN 37-21 over Hamilton

#4 Hamilton Patriots
A tough road loss in Sarnia drops this team down a spot. It looks more and more likely that this team will finish 3rd in the East and have to travel to the 2nd place finisher in the West for quarterfinal games.
Week 7
LOSS 37-21 to Sarnia

#5 Sudbury Spartans
The Spartans had a rest week and now get to finish this season with three tough divisional games.
Week 7
BYE

#6 Tri-City Outlaws
The Outlaws were also resting last week. Gearing up for what will probably be a showdown for 2nd seed in the West with Sudbury.
Week 7
BYE

#7 Sault Steelers
Coming off a Bye week – the Steelers should still be running high from their road victory in Oakville last week.
Week 7
BYE

#8 Oakville Longhorns
This program has done well off the field but is still struggling on the field. Keep plugging away and they will start to see success on and off the field.
Week 7
LOSS 31-8 to Ottawa

Power Ranking – 2016 Week 7

Power Rankings Week 7

Rankings #3 and #4 are close and will be decided this week when they play each other.

Rankings #5 and #6 are also a flip of a coin and will be firmly decided when they play each other after this week’s Bye for both teams.

#1 GTA All Stars
This team stays on top until somebody beats them. They are resting at home before the final stretch to playoffs.
Week 6
BYE

#2 Ottawa Invaders
The Invaders were also resting this week and will remain in this slot until somebody else steps up and knocks them down. But the next 3 teams are closing the talent gap.
Week 6
BYE

#3 Steel City Patriots
The Patriots beat Sudbury for the first time in their short history. Looks like they cleaned up in the penalty department. Well done boys!!
Week 6
WIN 28-21 over Sudbury

#4 Sarnia Imperials
They came back after last week’s defeat and took care of TCO. They got their offence moving and the Wright – Lounsbury combo were getting it done. Big game this week.
Week 6
WIN 42-23 over Tri City

#5 Sudbury Spartans
They travelled light to Steel City and couldn’t get it done. This one went down to the wire. And they hung with a top 3 team for 4 quarters.
Week 6
LOSS 28-21 to Hamilton

#6 Tri City Outlaws
They struggled against Sarnia. But this team still plays solid ball. Tough football program that is slowly finding its identity. Watch out for them in the playoffs.
Week 6
LOSS 42-23 to Sarnia

#7 Sault Steelers
Nice job in Oakville boys! This was a big road win for a team rebuilding with new talent. Looks like the defense is still a top tier unit with Brandon Lewis leading the front 7.
Week 6
WIN 18-14 over Oakville

#8 Oakville Longhorns
It’s hard to find words for where this season has gone for the Horns. They have a young team with great numbers, they have some real talent but this season has quickly gotten away from them.
LOSS 18-14 to the Sault

Power Ranking – 2016 Week 6

Power Rankings
Week #6

#1 GTA All Stars
Well done All Stars. This team performs a 100% better with Tommy on the field holding a football than off the field with a clipboard. Defense plays a lot tougher when they know the offense is moving the ball.
Week 5
WIN 75-17 over Sarnia

#2 Ottawa Invaders
The only team to beat GTA the past two seasons took care of business at home. They are clearly the second best team in the NFC right now.
Week 5
WIN 24-3 over Sudbury

#3 Steel City Patriots
The Patriots dominated Oakville this week. Playing a complete game and rebounding from a loss a week ago. They got some offense going and defense took care of business. Therefore moving up in the rankings.
Week 5
WIN 28-6 over Oakville

#4 Sarnia Imperials
This team was knocked down a few notches. They have to put this loss behind them and get back to work. No sense dwelling on the past. That means stop posting memories of 96-1 and 75-17… Get back to work boys!!!
Week 5
LOSS 75-17 to GTA

#5 Tri City Outlaws
The Outlaws dominated the Sault in the Sault. This team shows up every week to play and they don’t disappoint. Tough team to play.
Week 5
WIN 30-6 over the Sault

#6 Sudbury Spartans
They gave up big plays and their offense couldn’t get rolling. Can’t win football games if you can’t score. Still they hung with Ottawa for 4 quarters. A program on the right track but still lacking some desire.
Week 5
LOSS 24-3 to Ottawa

#7 Oakville Longhorns
This team is struggling in finding its identity. And this loss to arch rival Hamilton was the exclamation point on the season. Back to work boys!
Week 5
LOSS 28-6 to Hamilton

#8 Sault Steelers
Tough loss, a rebuild season. Championship programs go thru cycles. And the Steelers are working with new talent. Give this team this season and watch them turn around next year.
LOSS 30-6 to Tri City

Power Ranking – 2016 Week 5

Power Rankings 2016

Week #5

#1 Sarnia Imperials
This Sarnia team may be something special and is clicking just in time for a showdown with #2 GTA this week.
They have put up big numbers on offense and playing stellar defense. Special teams have been excellent. The only undefeated team in the league gets the nod at #1 in the rankings.
Week 4
WIN 61-6 over the Sault

#2 GTA All Stars
***Defending National Champs***
Dropping down a spot because the #1 ranking would be based solely on Touchdown Tommy. Without Tom leading the offense – this team is very good but not superstar good. The showdown with Sarnia this week will be a game to watch. Expect Tommy to play the whole game this time.
Week 4 Results
WIN 42-13 over Hamilton

#3 Ottawa Invaders
The Invaders are a team on the rise and looking to establish themselves as a championship contender. They took care of business in Tri City this week and didn’t letdown after the upset win over GTA last week. Solid all around team and on a roll right now.
Week 4
WIN 25-9 over Tri City

#4 Steel City Patriots
I’m leaving them here for another week – despite the big loss. This team has depth and talent. That can take a team far in the playoffs. They have a showdown with rival Oakville this week which will be an interesting game.
Week 4
LOSS 42-13 to GTA

#5 Sudbury Spartans
The Spartans finally got the offense going. Lots of talent and lots of depth on this team. Playing a solid system. Just gotta put in the workman-like pride and get it done.
Week 4
WIN 40-36 over Oakville

#6 Oakville Longhorns
This is a team with great player numbers. They have a few very talented players who can win games down the stretch. This weeks game versus Hamilton is going to be a good one.
Week 4
LOSS 40-36 to Sudbury

#7 Tri City Outlaws
They gave up some points early to Ottawa and couldn’t recover. But they played smash mouth defense the rest of the game. This team will bring it every single game this season and won’t roll over for anyone.
Week 4
LOSS 25-9 to Ottawa

#8 Sault Steelers
This is looking like a rebuild season for the Steelers. The Imps blew the score up on them in Sarnia – the same way the Sault did for years when they were on the road and facing outmatched opponents.
Week 4
LOSS 61-6 to Sarnia
