Power Ranking – 2016 Week 9

NFC Insider – Power Rankings Week – 9

#1 Sarnia Imperials (6-1)
There is a new kid at the top of the mountain this week. The Imps marched into Brampton and came out with a hard fought overtime victory over the reigning National Champs… Congrats!!
Week 8
WIN 34-28 over GTA (OT)

#2 GTA All Stars (4-2)
The defending National Champs are knocked off at home by Sarnia. This game came down to the wire. This is the second loss of the season for the All Stars who once boasted about running the table. A little more parity in the NFC this season. Don’t count this team out – they have the talent and experience to repeat.
Week 8
LOSS 34-28 to Sarnia (OT)

#3 Ottawa Invaders (6-1)
It’s not often you win in a blowout fashion and drop in the rankings. But Sarnia and GTA went toe to toe like heavyweights in a championship fight. This ranking is not a knock on Ottawa – a top ranked team.
At this point in the season – they are still very much in the hunt. If they want to move up – beat GTA next week.
Week 8
WIN 57-0 over Oakville

#4 Steel City Patriots (4-3)
The Patriots travelled with a short bench to the Sault and scraped out a victory. A win is a win – you got it and you hold the #4 spot for another week. Good work boys!
Week 8
WIN 28-21 over Sault

#5 Tri City Outlaws (3-4)
You avenged the week 1 loss and got it done at home. Nice work!
This week the Outlaws will face Hamilton and what could be a first round quarter final matchup. Win in Hamilton and you secure a home game first round of the playoffs.
Week 8
WIN 28-24 over Sudbury

#6 Sudbury Spartans (2-4)
Another tough road loss and you went 0-4 on the road this season. Back to the warm confines of James Jerome this week against archival the Sault.
Week 8
LOSS 28-25 to Tri City

#7 Sault Steelers (1-5)
The Steelers lost a back and forth tilt against the Patriots. This week they travel up the road to Sudbury to battle the Spartans. This week could see them rise higher in the standings.
Week 8
LOSS 28-21 to Hamilton

#8 Oakville Longhorns (1-6)
The wheels fell off the bus in Oakville this week as the Invaders rolled overtop of them. Been a tough season with 3 sets of back to back games. Keep moving forward boys!!
Week 8
LOSS 57-0 to Ottawa
